The Animal Health Center can be reached by going north from Rte 161 (Dublin Granville Road) on Riverside Drive.  Just after you pass the zoo (9990 Riverside Drive),turn right onto Jerry Borin Trace to access the road just north of the zoo (this is the old Powell Road but now can only be accessed from Riverside Drive).  Turn onto the 2nd drive that is marked for "Shipping and Receiving."  The Animal Health Center is directly on the right and has a green pyramid type of roof.  A large (free) parking lot is behind (north) the Animal Health Center.

Don't miss this exciting and unique educational session at the Columbus Zoo Animal Health Center where we will go behind the scenes to witness the care and handling of zoo animals.  Dr. Michael Barrie, Director of Animal Health will guide our adventure as we tour the zoo health center/surgical area and compare the care of zoo animals to that of humans.  This is our first AORN meeting for the season and you won't want to miss it!  (There will be a lot of walking and standing as we tour.)

Objectives:
1.    Compare the perioperative experience and care of zoo animals to that of humans.
2.  Describe how the surgical environment for zoo animals is similar to that of surgical environments for humans.

6:45-8:00  Zoofari presentation and tour - CE Offering - 1.25 contact hours
